I often look at my life and chuckle at the winding road it took for me to get here. There were so many detours, u-turns, and times I got completely lost. Some days, I feel outright foolish for the path I chose, full of missteps and wasted time.

this is what it served up. 🎯
But then I remember something important – even the most successful, brilliant people often had journeys that were anything but linear. For example:
Vera Wang didn’t design her first wedding dress until she was 40 years old. After a successful career as a figure skater and fashion editor, she took a leap of faith and pursued her true passion for design, proving that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
Harrison Ford spent years working as a carpenter in Hollywood before landing his breakout role as Han Solo in Star Wars at the age of 35. He continued to hone his craft and build a diverse filmography, demonstrating that dedication and resilience can pave the way for lasting success.
Oprah Winfrey, the iconic media mogul, faced countless setbacks early on in her career. After being demoted from a news anchor position due to her “emotional delivery,” she found success in radio and eventually landed her own talk show. This experience, though challenging, shaped her unique and empathetic approach to connecting with audiences. And we all know where that has taken her…
Iconic artist Vincent van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime. He toiled in obscurity for years, grappling with mental health issues before receiving recognition posthumously.
What all of this teaches us all is that it’s never too late, we’re never too old or too unqualified or too ________ or not _______ enough to chase and achieve our dreams.
My entire life I have been absolutely certain that was born to run a business designed to give as much as it gets. When I look back at all the false starts, failed ideas and money pits, it’s hard not to feel some regret. But the truth is that the winding path I’ve taken, though sometimes frustrating (even maddening!) has ultimately led me here, to a place where I can help others heal during a time when the world needs healing the most. For that I’m incredibly grateful.
I’m also grateful that unlike poor Vincent, I will get to enjoy my successful dream while I am still alive. 💪 😁
